The Doc South Oldies Show
This show brings folks the good old Rock and Roll, the stuff you can’t find on the regular radio anymore. I play oldies both common and rare, til’ they squirt out your ears! All served up with a smile.
The Front Porch
Remember how we used to bring our records to a friend’s house after school? We’d sit around on a front porch or a parlor playing one song after another as we shot the bull for countless wonderful hours. There was no set format for the songs and no limit to the conversation. As I think back, those were the greatest of times. That’s what my show, The Front Porch, tries to recreate.
Songs From The Kitchen
A show all about the music our parents enjoyed and played on their kitchen or car radio. Those were the radios we were forbidden to switch over to Rock and Roll. Turns out that those songs really weren’t half bad and the folks had good taste. You’ll find Songs From The Kitchen to be more Johnny Mathis than Johnny B Goode.
The Pop Pop Show
Remember how cool it was to get your grandparents talking about their younger days? I know that I would sit and listen to their tales for hours if need be, and beg for more. Well, the Pop Pop Show is just that. It’s me fulfilling my grandfatherly duty of going on and on about my life back in the day. Of course, it’s dedicated to my wonderful granddaughter, Sadie.
The Bob Barry Show (Money and Life, Life and Money…)
This show is with Financial Planner, Bob Barry, of Barry Capital Management. (You can find a link to his website on my Partners page.) I can’t stress enough the need to have a fee based financial planner helping you with your investments. If I had known of Bob’s services thirty years ago, I would be set for life financially right now. Instead, it’s the other way around! This show will help you avoid the pitfalls that I never saw coming.
Events & Interviews
I like to broadcast all sorts of events. Saturday Cruise Nights at the Chatterbox Drive-In, shows from various other businesses and resturants, interviews with incredibly interesting people… All sorts of stuff! I’ve interviewed soldiers, business leaders, historians, and just about anybody with a cool story to tell.
